It's a Golden Tamarin! I Think...
Hello to you all. My name is Duncan, and I am (possibly) the newest content blaster at ArtisticThings. I’m a pretty straightforward guy, as far as it goes. Ask me questions – I’m up for it. You may also notice that I have a propensity to spell words with extra letters. I do this for emphasis.
Briefly – because it’s a long, complex story with conflicting character motivations and unclear emotional lines – I moved to Brooklyn from the Vancouver area. Yes, I am Canadian. In part. Half way. I previously rocked the sciences, in a serious way. As such, I am a scientist (you don’t have to refer to me as such, unfortunately). After that, I did some other things, of which writing was a large part.
I like music, I love books, writing, and authors, and I adore painting and other art forms. I travel like woah. And that is entirely enough about myself.
I’m here to provide some art talk, and hopefully I can let you in on some happening shit. Some things I hope to get at you soon:
- A Boston-turned-Brooklyn band called The Toothaches
- Some talk about contemporary relevance of the Picasso exhibit at the Met (and how it relates to really fancy 17th century swords)
- The author Gary Shteyngart, because he’s… an odd guy, and he’s just released a new book.
